Dilly's Place is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Sumner County. Dilly's Place was started with $20 and a prayer. This Playground will be designed and constructed of materials that include play for all children, including those with disabilities. The Conway Springs City Council is providing the Northeast corner of the city park for Dilly's Place, which is located at 8th and Wichita street, Conway Springs, Kansas. The dimentions of the playground will be 119'6" long(including hadicap parking) by 62'6" wide. There are 9 pieces of equipment planned maybe more.
Total Funding Goal:$327,308
(1) $130,000 equipment (2)$65,000 for surfacing the floor (3) $35,000 for concrete, excluding the handicap parking (4) $10,000 for fencing (we hope some of the fencing will be donated) (5)$15,000 for site work (6) $6,418 for 2% admin fee for fundraising costs and (7) $65,890 (for the cost of the land that has already been donated)
As of 3/21/2011 we have raised $27,216.81. This is after our 2% in admin fees which include application for 501(c)(3), lawyer fees, CPA fees. This whole project is completely volunteer. No one gets paid. Everything goes toward this wonder park. Our community is very involved in this project and we are hoping to get our County involved more also.
We have several fundraisers coming up.
City Wide garage sale (we serve hamburgers, hot dogs, Mark's famous slaw dogs, drinks and chips) We try and have a silent auction, and we try to get rid of anything that has been made and donated. Lots of tie blankets still.
Dilly's Place glow ball golf tournament in Suppesville.
Please continue to support Dilly's Place.
